End of Semester Honor Roll and RISE events
The Honor Roll and RISE acknowledgement events happen in January after the first semester, separately for each grade, in the morning. There are also celebrations in the beginning of May for 6th and 7th graders. The 8th graders are be acknowledged as part of their end-of-year awards and continuation ceremonies. Help setting up and cleaning up is always appreciated.
Each year, the CMS student Council creates various activities and events that promote enthusiasm and school spirit. One event that is usually hosted by CMS Student Council and supported by the PTO is a Winter Party. This is a fun event open to all students in grades 6-8. Held in December, the party includes dancing, music, games, food, and fun for all.
Eighth Grade Continuation Ceremony
Each year, the CMS Student Council creates various activities and events that promote enthusiasm and school spirit. The CMS PTO supports these events created by our Student Council. One popular event is the Eighth Grade Promotion. During this event we honor our graduating 8th graders with a wonderful celebration. In the past such events have taken place at Centennial Middle School and at the Elks Club in Boulder. Eighth graders and their parents celebrate the successes of their middle school years with music, food, community, and fun.
